In both the United Kingdom and the United States, the responsibility of caring for the soon to be joined man and wife falls to the best man. The best man is responsible for carrying the rings to the altar and presenting them to the individual officiating, who in turn will present the rings to the bride and groom so that they may exchange them. In some instances, the rings may be carried on a pillow by a \"ring bearer\" usually a male child, who will present them to the best man at the altar.
Tip number three is the color. The color basically refers to the fact that the more yellowish the diamond is, the less value it is. The whiter it is, the more value it has. So one thing, one scam once again that you want to avoid, is the color scam. This is where they will take a low quality diamond and they will artificially color it pink, blue, black because they know people love colored diamonds. But, the problem with that is that they're going to sell it to you as though it was a naturally colored diamond, so you're going to pay too much for something that is a low quality diamond. And the second thing is that after a while the color of the diamond goes away because it's artificial.
Forget the 2 months salary rule right now. That was just intelligent marketing on the part of DeBeers about 15 years ago. If you make $4,000 a month, then you are talking about spending $8,000 on a diamond engagement ring. Most people that make $4,000 a month cannot afford to spend two months of their salary on a ring. Maybe getting a ring that is worth $8,000 would be a good idea if you can get a great deal and spend around $3,000. Trust me this can be done and we will talk about that a bit in step 5.
