Forget the 2 months salary rule right now. That was just intelligent marketing on the part of DeBeers about 15 years ago. If you make $4,000 a month, then you are talking about spending $8,000 on a diamond engagement ring. Most people that make $4,000 a month cannot afford to spend two months of their salary on a ring. Maybe getting a ring that is worth $8,000 would be a good idea if you can get a great deal and spend around $3,000. Trust me this can be done and we will talk about that a bit in step 5.
As a matter of fact, in the past, some class rings are made like signet rings, a circlet bearing the school's emblem or seal. Others have stones that students have chosen to match a birth stone or the school's colors. All class rings typically bear the name or logo of the school on the bezel surrounding the stone. The only difference from year to year was the graduating year engraved on them.
It's the shape of the diamond when you look at it from above. Now, there is a type of shape that we call round. Now the round shaped diamonds are the most popular because these are the ones with the most sparkle. There's the heart shaped diamond - this is the most popular with lovers. Then there's the pear shaped diamond; it either looks like a pear or like a tear. This is mostly popular for earrings, less for diamond rings. The oval diamonds; these are good for people who have short fingers because when you have an oval shaped diamond ring it makes your fingers look longer.
Each ring made comes with its own finish so you could choose from shiny, matte or even an oxidized finish. All of these could be considered modern or classic in the way of style. A very important factor to consider is your engagement ring. You will be wearing your wedding ring alongside your engagement ring so you want to choose something that will compliment the other.
Men's diamonds rings are available in different styles, sizes, colors, and carats, and prominent among them are the diamond square ring studded in Italian yellow gold, diagonal diamond rings, solitaire diamond rings, satin diamond rings, and cluster diamond rings.
